Creative Giants were invited to propose a permanent installation to enliven a disused area of Grade II listed Coventry Train Station. We developed a strategic brief in collaboration with Avanti West Coast and Coventry City Council conservation that navigated the complexities of the context of a live train station and the important heritage of the building’s architecture.

Responding to the watchmaking heritage of Coventry, and working in collaboration with playful installation artist Sam Williams, we designed a bespoke artwork intervention that sensitively responded to the architecture and reintroduced soft-scape to an area that was a light-well and natural feature in the original architect’s vision. Instructed as both designers and project managers on the project, this was a unique opportunity to support and develop a client’s vision in collaboration with a local artist, right through to the delivery.
