An art installation for the EXPERIENCE project: the Norfolk Way Art Trail. The EXPERIENCE project is led by Norfolk County Council to drive out-of-season tourism across the area.

‍Flock is inspired by the flights of birds, schools of fish and the swarms of eels, which are synonymous with the Mere and the nearby River Waveney. The toyStudio installation is sensitive to its surroundings, reflecting the colours of seasons and flowing with the movement of local wildlife. 

The piece includes words by a local poet as an ode to the local community and the ebb and flow of the people who settle here.

Installed in Spring 2023, Flock is positioned along Diss Mere in a prime urban location.

ToyStudio, a London-based art collective which combines the fields of art and architecture, answered the call by Creative Giants for submissions to the project, being formally invited as one of 6 artists and delivering their first permanent public art piece.
